Oskar — Dolphinarium Website Redesign

Oskar — Redesign of a Dolphinarium Website Complex

Redesign in progress — design approved, production build underway

Context

Oskar is an entertainment and wellness complex in Truskavets, Ukraine: a dolphinarium, the Burger Club café and the EkZoterra terrarium. Each has its own website.

The project redesigns the main dolphinarium site and rebuilds the two smaller sites, which stay separate with their own address and look. The goal is a lighter, clearer site that the client can keep up to date without a developer.

Before → After

Screenshots: the old site is the live site (October 2026); the new design is the static mockup, not the production site. Contact details are blurred.

Client's brief

• An entry screen first: visitors choose the dolphinarium, Burger Club or the terrarium instead of landing inside one of them.
• A shorter site: six pages, with schedule, prices and services combined; news, partners and online ticket buttons removed.
• Direct call buttons with the phone numbers instead of ordering a call-back.
• The brand colours stay: blue, white and green, close to nature.
• Prices, schedule and promotions that the client edits without a developer.

Problems of the old site

• Eleven main menu items, including “buy ticket” and “order ticket” actions for a service the complex does not offer online.
• Only the schedule and news were easy for the client to edit; prices and promotions were not.
• An outdated technical base that was hard to maintain and extend.
• Basic SEO markup was missing (sitemap, canonical and hreflang tags, structured data).

Done so far

• A design system: colour, type, spacing and component rules built on the client's existing brand colours and a self-hosted Nunito typeface, with documented text-contrast ratios (WCAG 2.1).
• A static HTML, CSS and JavaScript mockup of the main site in Ukrainian: entry screen and home page, schedule and prices, dolphin therapy, gallery, contacts, privacy and promotions.
• The client approved the mockup of the five main pages: home, schedule and prices, dolphin therapy, gallery and contacts.
• The Promotions page was added as a sixth page and is reviewed separately.

What comes next (planned or in progress — not live yet)

• Production build on Laravel 13 and Filament 5, turning the approved mockup into the live site.
• An admin panel where the client edits the show schedule, ticket and service prices and promotions, including an archive of finished promotions.
• Ukrainian and English versions of the main site with basic SEO, and a dolphin-therapy request form that collects no medical data.
• Two smaller sites, each staying a separate site: Burger Club (five pages, four editable menu images) and the EkZoterra terrarium (five pages, editable text prices).
• Launch on the client's domain once the client approves the finished site.

Tech

The mockup is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript on top of the design system. The production site is built with Laravel 13 and the Filament 5 admin panel.

My role

I handle the project end to end: the page structure, the design system and mockup, and the Laravel and Filament build.

Result and current state

In progress. The design is approved; the production site is not live yet and the admin panel is planned, not delivered. The screenshots show the design mockup, not the production site.
