Fedenko — Cleaning and Renovation Website
A Swiss company with two services needed each one clear on its own page, in German and in English. This is the site I built and launched for it.

Fedenko — Bilingual Website for a Swiss Cleaning and Renovation Company
Context
Fedenko is a Swiss company offering cleaning, including move-out cleaning with an acceptance guarantee, and interior renovation in the Zürich region. The website serves the Swiss market in German (de-CH, the primary language) and English (en-CH) and is live at fedenko.ch.
Client's brief
- Two services, clearly separated: cleaning and interior renovation, each with its own page and its own enquiry path.
- No price calculator and no budget field — a client decision. The forms only collect the details needed for a quote.
- Enquiries that lead to a prepared WhatsApp message.
- Only client-confirmed facts on the pages: no invented reviews, statistics, or guarantees.
- A design system approved by the client before the build.
What I delivered
- A German and an English version of the site (de-CH and en-CH): home, cleaning, renovation, about, contact, legal pages, and thank-you pages, linked with hreflang.
- Two separate enquiry journeys, one for cleaning and one for renovation, each with its own PHP handler (CSRF token, honeypot field, rate limiting) that emails the enquiry to the company.
- A prepared WhatsApp message: the form shows a live preview of it, and the thank-you page opens WhatsApp with the enquiry summary filled in.
- A cleaning enquiry form without a price calculator, built as short question-led steps: which cleaning, which property, when, and how to reach the customer. Only the service type and the contact fields are required.
- A service-area section built from the client's confirmed list of municipalities.
- A guide section with six articles in each language: apartment handover checklist, move-out cleaning cost factors, the acceptance guarantee, preparing to paint, bathroom renovation steps, and who pays when renovating a rental apartment.
- The client-approved design implemented as CSS design tokens, with colour contrast checked by script against WCAG AA, plus a skip-to-content link.
- SEO foundations: canonical URLs, hreflang (de-CH, en-CH, x-default), sitemap.xml, and JSON-LD structured data.
- A cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2, so analytics load only after the visitor accepts, plus GA4, Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools set up for the launch.
- Automatic deployment to shared hosting: every push to the main branch is published through GitHub Actions.
- Launch support: a verified Google Business Profile and a search ad campaign started after the site went live (budgets and results are not published).
Technology
HTML5, CSS3 with design tokens, Bootstrap 5, vanilla JavaScript, and PHP (PHPMailer) for the form handlers. No framework and no bundler; images are served in AVIF and WebP with fallbacks.
My role
I handled the full build: front-end implementation of the approved design, the German and English page structure, the PHP form handlers, SEO, analytics, and the deployment setup.
Result and current state
The site is live at fedenko.ch in German and English, with a separate page and enquiry path for cleaning and for renovation. Traffic, enquiry and ad results are not published.
